Rental questions

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the complex, the area, the size, the condition and the type of let. A seasonal let for the winter usually costs more per month than a long term let, because it is furnished and often includes some bills. Each listing shows the current rent, and we can give you prices for your dates.

A holiday let is a short tourist stay in a home that is registered for holiday lets under the tourism law of each region. A long term let is a contract for a home where you live as your main home, under the national rental law (LAU), and it gives the tenant strong rights to stay. Between the two is the seasonal let, a temporary stay of some months for a stated reason. Each type has its own rules, so ask us which one fits your plans.

Only if you let it to tourists for short holiday stays. For that, the home must be registered as a holiday home (vivienda vacacional) under Canary Islands law, and the town hall's planning rules must allow tourist use at that address. Seasonal lets and long term lets do not need this registration, but they have their own rules under the national rental law. Talk to us before you choose, so you start with the right type of let.

For people who live and work on the island, Las Palmas has the largest choice and services all year. In the south, people who live here all year often choose San Fernando, Arguineguín, or the quieter parts of Maspalomas and San Agustín, where shops and services stay open all year. Homes for long term lets are in short supply in many areas, so contact us early.

Start with the listings on this page, then send us your dates, budget and needs. We can send you more photos, arrange a video call of the home, and explain the contract before you sign. Never send money to someone you have not checked, and only pay after you have seen a written contract.
